THE
PROGRAMS
3-DAY
FOOD & WINE VACATION - [See

This
culinary vacation program starts on a thursday morning and ends
on a sunday morning, and is for those guests who do not have
the available time for a 5 or 7 day program. With three hands-on
classes of approximately three hours each and three restaurant
meals, it is a perfect introduction to the basics of Catalan
cuisine. Three visits to local wine producers and vineyards,
along with wine tastings will allow you to discover and appreciate
the fantastic DOC Priorat and DO Montsant wines. An official
olive oil tasting session will let you discover the incredible
DO Siurana olive oils. A trip to the Scala Dei monastery will
enable you to learn of the areas history as well as indulge
in the landscapes of this beautiful and unspoilt region.
Included
in this program is the transport to and from Barcelona in our
own mini-bus, 3 nights lodging at our private hotel "Can
Miquelet del Mano", all classes with necessary materials,
all meals for which we use only the best and freshest ingredients,
all restaurant meals, all high quality Priorat wines, all drinks,
excursions, and tips, as well as a complimentary apron, diploma,
Catacurian cookbook, and farewell gift.

This culinary vacation program
in embedded within the 7-day program for those that do not have
the time for a longer stay. The session either starts on a tuesday
morning and ends on a sunday morning, or starts on a thursday
morning and ends on the following tuesday morning. With five
hands-on classes of approximately three hours each and four
restaurant meals, a very good knowledge of Catalan cuisine is
attained. Four visits to local wine producers and vineyards,
along with wine tastings will allow you to discover and appreciate
the fantastic DOC Priorat and DO Montsant wines. An official
olive oil tasting session will let you discover the incredible
DO Siurana olive oils. A trip to both the lead mines of Bellmunt
and to the Scala Dei monastery will enable you to learn of the
areas history as well as indulge in the landscapes of this beautiful
and unspoilt region.
Included
in this program is transport to and from Barcelona*, 5 nights
lodging at our private hotel "Can Miquelet del Mano",
all classes with necessary materials, all meals for which we
use only the best and freshest ingredients, all restaurant meals,
all high quality Priorat wines, all drinks, excursions, and
tips, as well as a complimentary apron, diploma, Catacurian
cookbook, and farewell gift.
*If the session starts the same day as a 7-day session,. then
pick-up is in Barcelona with our own minibus, and return is
via a contracted taxi service. If the session ends at the same
time as a 7-day session, then pick-up is via a contracted Taxi
service, and we will return you to Barcelona along with the
other 7-day session guests in our own minibus. If there are
no 7-day session guests during this time, then we will do both
pick-up and return to Barcelona for your 5-day session in our
own minibus.
7-DAY
FOOD & WINE VACATION - [See

This
culinary vacation program starts on a tuesday morning, ends
on the following tuesday morning, and will enable you to learn
the fundamentals of Catalan cuisine as you will have a total
of six classes of approximately three hours duration each. The
fourteen meals you will be having during this time, five of
which are in restaurants, will allow you to sample a wide variety
of different Catalan dishes. The DOC Priorat and DO Montsant
wines will no longer be a secret to you after the five visits
to local wineries, which include wine tastings, and the wine
tasting presentation by the enologist of La Conreria de Scala
Dei in our own wine tasting room. An official olive oil tasting
session will let you discover the incredible DO Siurana olive
oils. The trips to the lead mines of Bellmunt the Scala Dei
monastery and the Gaudi buildings in Reus will enable you to
learn of the areas history as well as indulge in the landscapes
of this beautiful and unspoilt region.

DAY CHRISTMAS FOOD & WINE VACATION
This
is our Christmas special for those who want to do something
different for their Christmas celebration. It is very similar
in content to the 7-day trip (see above), however an extra day
is dedicated to preparing the typical Catalan Christmas meals,
and it is all conducted in a very festive manner!

own mini-bus, 8 nights lodging at our private hotel "Can
Miquelet del Mano", all classes with necessary materials,
all meals for which we use only the best and freshest ingredients,
all restaurant meals, all high quality Priorat wines, all drinks,
