[ View All Tour & Trip Programs ]
This culinary vacation program is the ideal blend of hands-on cooking, Priorat winery visits and local culture. With 6 (4 in 3-Day program) cooking classes of 2 to 3 hours each, it is the perfect introduction to the basics of Catalan cuisine. The visits to 2 (1 in 3-Day program) local Priorat wineries, with full wine tastings, will allow you to discover the world class wines of this area. With the official olive oil tasting presentation you will learn the secrets of how olive oils are distinguished and the wonderful qualities of the local DO Siurana olive oils. This is the perfect opportunity to blend culture with the pleasures of cooking and wine. A visit to the nearby 12th century Scala Dei monastery unravels the history of the Priorat.
Whereas in Barcelona you may see some of Gaudi's masterpieces such as the Sagrada Familia, the Casa Batlló, or the Park Güell, where else but in his hometown of Reus, may you visit the house he was born in, or the church where he was baptized and whose belltower staircase served as the inspiration for his later works.
During your morning guided tour of the "Modernist Route" in the city of Reus, you will also visit two of Domenech i Montaner's masterpieces (he designed the spectacular Unesco-cited "Palau de la Música Catalana" in Barcelona), as well as the only and most complete interactive museum dedicated to Gaudí, the Gaudí Center. A true gem.
