3 - Day Gourmet Cooking & Wine Experience in El Priorat
This culinary vacation program is for those guests who do not have the available time for a 6 day program. With five hands-on classes of approximately two to three hours each, it is a perfect introduction to the basics of Catalan cuisine. Two visits to local Priorat wine producers and vineyards, along with wine tasting will allow you to discover and appreciate the fantastic DOC Priorat and DO Montsant wines. An official olive oil tasting presentation will let you discover the incredible DO Siurana olive oils. A trip to the Scala Dei monastery will enable you to learn of the area's history as well as indulge in the landscapes of this beautiful and unspoiled region.

4 – Day Gourmet Paella and Rice Special in El Priorat
As an addition to the wonderful 3-Day program with it's Catalan cooking classes, Priorat winery visits and olive oil tasting presentation, this 4-Day program will allow you to discover how rice is produced in the Ebro Delta. This is where they harvest some of the best Bomba rice in Spain, the rice specifically used for Paella and other Catalan rice dishes. Two of the six cooking classes will be dedicated to Paella and other fantastic rice recipes, and one of the lunches will be at a restaurant in the Ebro Delta specialized in rice dishes.

6 - Day Gourmet Cooking & Wine Experience in El Priorat
This culinary vacation program will really allow you to discover first hand why Catalonia and its food have become so popular. With six or seven hands-on classes of approximately three hours each and a combination of restaurant meals and class preparation meals, a very good knowledge of Catalan cuisine is attained. Four visits to local Priorat wine producers and vineyards, along with wine tasting will allow you to discover and appreciate the fantastic DOC Priorat and DO Montsant wines. An official olive oil tasting presentation will let you discover the incredible DO Siurana olive oils. A trip to a local ceramics producer, the Scala Dei monastery, and the Gaudi architecture in Reus will enable you to learn of the areas history as well as indulge in the landscapes of this beautiful and unspoiled region.

– Included in these programs is transport to and from Barcelona Plaza Espanya in our own mini-bus, accommodation at our private boutique hotel/cooking school, all classes with necessary materials, all meals for which we use only the best and freshest ingredients, all restaurant meals if applicable, all high quality Priorat/Montsant wines, all drinks, all excursions and tips, as well as a complimentary Catacurian recipe book. Basically, there are absolutely no extra costs during your stay with us, except for gifts you may want to purchase.
- All winery visits are very extensive and include full tasting as well as facility tour and very personalized attention by winery owner or enologist.
- The olive oil presentation is given by a technician from the DO Siurana Olive Oil Consortium and is conducted in the same way as the tasting done by the IOOC (International Olive Oil Council)
Our 1-Day Cooking Classes
1-Day Cooking Class and Winery Visit in El Priorat, Spain
Take a lovely two hour train ride along the coast South from the center of Barcelona to the beautiful and unspoiled region of El Priorat, famous for it's superb wines and prize-winning olive oils. When you arrive at the train station, we will pick you up, and take you to the town of Gratallops at the center of the Priorat, where you will visit the Costers del Siurana winery and taste four of their excellent wines. Then off we go to Catacurian, in the small town of El Masroig, where after a light apéritif you will don an apron and roll up your sleeves for a few hours of hands-on Catalan cooking with your host, chef and instructor Alicia Juanpere Artigas. Once your full meal is prepared you will sit down to an elegant table and have a late lunch of the dishes you have created, all accompanied by delicious Priorat/Montsant wines. After coffee, and a Brandy or liqueur should you care, you will be taken back to the train station for your return ride to Barcelona city.

1-Day Cooking Class and Market Tour in Barcelona
We will take you to visit the famous Boqueria Market, purchase the ingredients for your class, and then teach you hands-on the basics of Catalan cuisine. You may also request a specific Paella or Tapas class, or you may sign up for 3 classes and do it all!
